A single point of failure or hundreds of points that must fail (and still not going to kill the protocol). Is it not obvious which is better? Feels more like denial and “I don’t want to lose all the followers I’ve built up” than anything coherent.
Not to mention, one is completely open source and the other isn't. Capture the CEOs and new ones will take their place.

Agreed. I do feel that it must not be an easy feat to switch from a platform where on may be making their living via their influence to this one.
