How is Facebook still making money? I barely stay there for minutes, looking only at some stories and reels I barely scroll down the feed 🤔 #grownostr #plebchain
I have asked myself the same question.. I think part of their continued existence is just being a public company.. investments from state-affiliated actors.. then there are loans against assets as minimal interest, favtoring some manipulated user metrics like Elon found out with Twitter. Then there are also some ad revenues. Everybody around me uses marketplace and people can boost those for a few so I'm sure that happens.. I think it's probably a scotch-tape-reinforced paper house right now.
I'm seeing fewer and fewer ads from serious businesses
Facebook marketplace Little start up business run ads on Facebook and they pay Facebook I ran ads for my little online sneaker store i was doing
Hmm 🤔 So it's just small businesses keeping it alive because I haven't seen ads from big brands
No big brands still advertise there.
We talk a lot of shit about Twitter and Facebook and Instagram, but in reality, I don't see any of those going down.
I'm curious how much time people are spending there 🤔
