Watching a documentary series called Power On: The Story of Xbox. For three solid years, between 2005-08, I worked for Xbox—but not directly for Microsoft. I did tech support at the Xbox 360 launch. I don’t know anyone who works at Xbox anymore, but I remember just hardcore Microsoft employees were about gaming. At the time, Xbox was the place to be.
The legacy of the Xbox was bringing what was then regarded as PC gaming to the living room. It had online gaming and a hard drive. You could download games. And of course, Halo.
