Centralized platforms will *always* be vulnerable to censorship demands from the State. It does not matter who is in charge of the platform, whether it’s publicly traded or private, or whether the intentions of the platform creators are good — if there is a throat to choke, the State will squeeze.

“X Corp. has been forced by court decisions to block certain popular accounts in Brazil. We have informed those accounts that we have taken this action.
We do not know the reasons these blocking orders have been issued.
We do not know which posts are alleged to violate the law.
We are prohibited from saying which court or judge issued the order, or on what grounds.
We are prohibited from saying which accounts are impacted.
We are threatened with daily fines if we fail to comply.
We believe that such orders are not in accordance with the Marco Civil da Internet or the Brazilian Federal Constitution, and we challenge the orders legally where possible.
The people of Brazil, regardless of their political beliefs, are entitled to freedom of speech, due process, and transparency from their own authorities.”

The state is the biggest problem
Government is the root of all our problems
Hmm. It’s people rich enough to buy, force or blackmail government officials into cooperation, not government per sé.
(imho of course)
Without government there wouldn't be companies with these privileges as government intervention is the exactly opposite to free market economy
A few were traded, so money can continue to be made.
One saving grace is a company can't be forced to delete content by a country they don't do business in. Even if it's accessible in other countries they still should be safe if they are not registered as a business in the country that wants the content deleted.
Still a big shout out to decentralized social media.
Unless you can verify it’s free from censorship it’s pointless
100% the reason I picked lavabit for email when they came back.
Grandpa, what’s Twitter? Fuck if I know kid, I was on Nostr Freedom Tech for the Great War
"You've highlighted a crucial point about the inherent risks of centralization. At PODCONF, while we recognize the value of centralized strategies for narrative control and compliance, we also understand the importance of maintaining a balance. Our mission includes creating a robust platform where Bitcoin's value can be enhanced without compromising the decentralized ethos that makes it unique. We aim to navigate these challenges thoughtfully, ensuring that our actions fortify rather than hinder the community's strength and resilience.

Elon already has no issues censoring what he does not agree with
As @PABLOF7z recently said in your show, if there's a censorship button, it will be used!
