Damus is neither the best nor the only client out there.

your client is almost as good as mine (I haven't done mine yet).

 I agree with that fully!  However,  its all under the boot of apple and basically in chains.

I have no issues with the client, I think its great judging from the screenshots.


Damus is part of nostr, not the other way around :)

 I guess people who use apple products have made the choice of being under apple's boot for some reason. Doesn't concern others. Apple users don't have any alternatives which wouldn't be under apple's boot and therefore I don't see it as a problem that Damus doesn't emphasize it being just a small part of Nostr.

but Damus does not equal Nostr.

Nostr is intended to be free and censorship resistant.
Nothing about using Nostr on iOS or OSX is censorship resistant lol

My problem is with the advertising.  The message is somewhat misleading if not very misleading, pushing the image that DAMUS is NOSTR.

it just seems like its the same as using Twitter/X with all that control by mega corps....while we can run nostr clients on open source android / LineageOS on a 10 year old Samsung Galaxy note 3 lol.

Completely different worlds, both amazing parts of nostr that shine in different areas ie: visuals vs freedom
