I was in the first wave to sign up for it when it launched as a paid service. The team behind it is as dedicated to building for Nostr as it gets. Hence the name!

True, and I'm willing to pay. I just would like to be able to do more media uploading in the client themselves rather than in a "3rd party" website/service. it would shorten the process for me.
An API that allows the client to post to that service on your behalf will probably be available at some point. It would most likely have to be built by that service though.
