When I was a senior in high school, my grandfather passed away. It was October 31st, on Halloween. He was an electrician, a war veteran, and he loved math. He was very intelligent and extremely curious about the Internet, how it all worked. He saved money his entire life so that when he was gone, my grandmother, who just turned 98 earlier this month, would be taken care of and not have to worry about money. He would have loved Bitcoin. I know it. πŸ₯Ή Today may be Halloween and Bitcoin white paper day, but to me, it's a bit different.

My grand father passed away 8 years ago as of August. Not a day goes by when I don't think of him. He was the kind of man most of us work hard to be, but he just was. He was wise, caring and he didn't give a damn what people thought about him. Unapologetically himself. And he loved to make people laugh. He was the life of the party. Family get togethers just aren't the same without him. He taught me so much. He was also wicked smart. For a guy who didn't even finish high school and worked his whole life underground, he could fix or build you anything. Thanks for sharing. I love hearing about special people like that as it makes me think of him.

My favorite memories are going fishing, collecting chestnuts, and collecting marbles (there's a local fiber glass factory and we used to always go to the rail yards and find thousands of them).
