 #WordWeavers 7Sep- Why did your villain become a villain?

High Chancellor Braeley doesn't see herself as the villain. She doesn't even see herself as an antagonist.

In her mind, she's a faithful leader following the Gold God's will. Those who question her class's right to rule are the villains.

If she wasn't so obsessed with her own power, things may have turned out differently. But like most people with too much power, she's blinded to her actions. *That* is how she became the villain.
 @21149f3e Ah, that's a great villain to hate 😁
 @21149f3e Power corrupts. That's a theme in Kovenlore Chronicles.

You've written a complex antagonist who has sound (even if wrong) reasoning for her actions. Doing so creates a balance to weigh the protagonist against. That makes for a more compelling story. 😃 👍
