I’m here to learn but come from a different tradition. Why is giving money considered #MutualAid in the US? Places I’ve been at people would give clothes, build things together, cook in communal kitchens etc, but it was considered politically bad form to give money because it’s a transactional relationship. The recipient of mutual aid has to actually give some as well, to the best of their ability. MA is political and strategic, not ameliorative. Any readings folks can suggest?
