 @93068179 generally, they don't replace compressors. They make them all slightly different year to year, and intentionally crap for Planned Obsolescence reasons.

As for the filter, you can get an in-line filter that's cheaper and does the same job for 5 years. I'll look one up and put it in a unlisted reply toot. 
 @5217a879 It's already filtered for ice I thiiiink, maybe not. Have done that before, in-lining an ice filter. But no water filter or dispenser sucks. I don't want a tap-installed filter again. If there was enough of a gap anywhere in the sink vicinity I'd install a water filter thing there. Hell, I'd be tempted to roll out the fridge and split that line for the freezer and a free-standing filter.
