It was still fine in 2012 (for SF). Not sure when the downfall began. 

 if you make one wrong turn in the area, it goes immediately from posh tech offices to fentanyl addicted homeless and shit on the ground. 

 I stayed in Mission Bay just to stay away from all that. And also, that’s where UCSF and the ballpark are. No need to go back to FiDi or SoMa. 

 It’s fine over there. My office was in that area. SoMa sucks. SoMa was awesome back in 2005 though. I used to bar hop from SoMa for Mission all night back then and it wasn’t sketchy at all.

 It was so safe that I even would stay out all night to catch the BART home sometimes. I remember one time I slept on the stairs in front of the gate at Powell station waiting for the station to open. 😂 

 I would def not have tried that 🤣

 Breh I walked those streets every day and night for years. It just kept getting worse. Saw all kinds of crazy shit, people would be screaming outside of my window at 3 am saying I’m going to kill you, busting all the car windows, chopping up stolen bikes, zombies all over the place, taking a shit on my doorstep, pulling guns and knives on my homies… makes me mad just thinking about those days. I ain’t never going back to that place. 

 Some people say 6th St in Austin is gnarly. I just laugh and think to myself you ain’t seen what gnarly is. 😂 

 My last time of absolutely being in love with SF was 2000. This past trip was awesome, it’s just different now. Doesn’t feel the same. 

 The zombies are all over now, saw a few in Mission Bay. And honestly, we have that element all over Phoenix too. People can’t even stand up, they are just kinda swaying. 

 Sometimes they start swinging too. This one fucker hit my friends car with a golf club after she dropped me off on Minna in the middle of the day. 

 Dayum… only time I’ve had a car broken into… SF, of course
