Cast iron was great, but stainless steel wins the battle 🍳 https://m.primal.net/LhzF.jpg
Nice! I have a cast iron workhorse, but am looking for SS for some applications. Any recommendations on brands?
I didn’t pick based on the brand but on the number of layers of SS and aluminum. Mine are 5-ply. Great quality!
If I had to choose one, it would be stainless... but, I'm glad I don't have to.
I've never. But I wanna.
You should. Much easier to work with than a cast iron
Why not both? 💜
Because I left my cast iron in storage in a different country 😂 SS is so much easier to work with though
For sure
Both? Non-stick has its place too…
Very much agree. I liked using cast iron but stainless steel is sooo nice.
It’s so much easier!
I have a carbon steel wok which is decent but i want to try stainless steel.
You won’t regret it!
I have a stainless steel pot so i figured i should be able to fry something in it, i was surprised how well it worked. Teflon taught us all bad habits of not waiting for the pan to get hot enough. If you use it right food does not stick... mostly i do not use it right though 😃
Couldn’t agree more! Also, it’s all about practice with SS 😊
Cast iron very overrated. Ceramic very underrated
Ceramic doesn't sear well, at least from my experience.
