 No they didn't?  I took the day off in 1999 to see episode 1 and it was so disappointing that I never bothered to see the other two in the theatre.  Maybe you're only thinking about people who were kids at the time and grew up watching them?

 I liked the story I just didn't like jar jar Binks or the acting. 

Maybe in 20 years we will get a reboot without feminist or gay shit all over it.
