 @a459608b i had the same problem in one of my first attempts at gardening when I was small. My mom brought me to a garden store and told me I could pick a plant to grow. I was old enough to be able to read and picked a small peanut plant. I was so excited, I held it all the way to the cashier and planted in the ground as soon as I got home. A bunny ate it by the next day. I was a very sad child after that. I think I might have been ~6. 
 @adfbf87b horrible, horrible selfish vile creatures, those bunnies. They kill anything here that isn't a tomato or pepper.

Going with a 4ft fence next year with a quarter inch mesh. 
 @a459608b yeah, it’s a constant battle. I am “friends” with one wild rabbit. It’ll occasionally come up and take greens I hand to her. They have to be longish stalks, like flowering mitsuba. Here is a pic with her in front of well-reinforced fencing 🤣
