 CAD software or games.

Checkmate.
I know nothing about C.A.D. software, but have you heard of Steam Onlinex? It's only been a thing for quite a while, and is very popular, and has a decent chunk of games.
Yes. I don't game, but steam works pretty well on some flavors of Linux. But... It's not the same as having an Xbox account or being able to natively run big titles.
I agree; some work even better on Linux because of Proton ✌️😏
There’s freecad but it takes a lot to learn a whole new system.
I'm very aware but no one can build a business with FreeCAD.
Why is that? Because no employees will know how to use it? Just curious. I haven’t even spent the time myself learning it.
 Several reasons:

It's not fully developed.
It is very hard to learn.
It does not interface well with modern manufacturing systems/software. (This is the biggest issue.)
It has issues with real dimensionality (though this is getting better).
Just provide them the list of features you need and offer to sponsor their development. Run a crowdfunding if you wish so other people can pitch in with funding.
the steamdeck has made linux the most popular of all time for games
 Cool.

Still doesn't fix CAD software.
 blender
 Is not CAD.

It can have some CAD features, but you cannot run a business making metal parts or injection molding off of it since it doesn't stack with anything else.
Ok, it's not perfect. You've identified the areas that need work. Do you volunteer to make it?
 Pfft. No.

I don't and won't code. I build physical stuff.
