Yes, those are the challenges. The voting registrar authorities (in the United States, typically the States and Counties) are still responsible for voter registration. We will work with each registrar and the DMV and link the Nostr key to their voter registration.
Thanks for the response. I guess each legitimate voter should want to have a specific private key just for voting purposes and provide the registrar with the correspondent public key. I'd avoid using the same pair one uses to post on Nostr, for example. And if the DMV gets corrupted or hacked, and leaks the public keys then there shouldn't be any ways to connect that person to his vote. Not even in order to check if he voted or not.
