 Its not just Bitcoin at risk, and not just England - once a precedent is set it can be applied across the Common Law world since it does not rest on any specific legislation.

Free Software that handles a lot of value, or that competes with a wealthy closed-source incumbent, is at risk. As it always has been, but new legal threats are being constructed...

what this means is that the bitcoin core maxi cabal are screwed

they can easily slide out of this one by moving to other implementations and spreading it out more
