@bb052609 @c0d5fe1a this situation absolutely sucks, the repair system doesn’t really take it into account properly, and at bottom you may just need to get a backup phone.
Personally what I’ve done in the past is to physically go in to the genius bar, with an appointment early in the day, and try to get an on-site repair. *usually*, especially if you have applecare, they’ll either fix it same-day or offer a replacement. Bring a laptop with a full, current backup of your phone.
@bb052609 @c0d5fe1a If they don’t, and you need to send it elsewhere for repair, your backup-to-the-backup option, if they can get you the repair in <14 days, is to buy the cheapest iPhone they have in the store, then return it when they get you your phone back.
