About the only thing I ever worry about when I’m armed or in the bush near dusk is cats. I’m not the apex creature in the hood when they are slinking around. They’re starting to be spotted more here now.  A friend of mine told me that you need at least a 40 caliber to take down a bear.  I will be taking my 45 if I hike in bear country.
