There are other easier ways to do physical sign up as well. Like if you want to sign up churches, have everyone download an app, make an account, scan a QR code physically that whitelists their account, done. @hodlbod

Yes, you could just email everyone in your church directory a link and such, but the physical QR code sign up process feels real.
It cements for people that this is about enhancing real life interactions, not replacing it
You could also have a relay that only exists on your church's wifi. Those community events could be synced once a week, then people could get in touch directly the rest of the week.
