What do you use turkey tail for?
I’ve only ever made tea out of them. It’s apparently good for you, but it tastes like a foot

Be sure to process the turkey tail in a spice (coffee) grinder before soaking the shrooms with alcohol. I did dry mine first though, so keep that in mind. It's a neat experience too, since the mushrooms shred into a cotton-like fluffy substance! It's quite surprising -- you wouldn't expect it from such a rubbery, pliable material.

Yeah I’ve only read about them. I think if they’re made solid it’s an electuary I thought it might would be a good way to get people at the farmers market to actually buy something medicinal
Defo try it after you dehydrate them! Steep them in alcohol for 8 weeks and then do a hot water extraction by gently heating the same mushrooms in water until about half of the water has evaporated. Then you combine the alcohol tincture with the hot water extraction to make the final tincture. Doing both processes makes sure you get the full range of medicine out of the mushrooms (some of the properties are water soluble and some can only be extracted with alcohol)
