 It seems to me that this is only half the story: If no one responds to your replies, it's also a dead end. A note-reply-replied replies ratio would be better.  Mastodon users ab/misuse nostr. They can mute whole instances and hear nothing someone says. I had a user I thought who would not answer me and month later he looked what his instance blocked away from him - and he attacked me ;). They are not real nostr user.

 Perhaps it`s a special German problem. There is a community that shares instances that are collectively blocked.
