Could it not be regulation as well? And certainly wealthy people own homes. So what does your claim mean?
This is a complex topic… difficult to convey with a few lines… But at the core I am questioning whether those people in “wealthy” countries are truly wealthy. 50% can’t afford a home or the cost of home ownership far exceeds rent. People that are slaves to their debt, servants to the state and trapped in the rat race are not wealthy. Poorer nations may provide better financial stability to most of its society.
