 Ask them.  Tracking is normally to increase the salable value of a domain.  nostr dot com is for sale for $5 million.  JF will get 10% of the sale value.  I have raised this main times.  None of the current devs actually really care about privacy.  All they do is shoot the messenger.

 Yes, most privacy advocacy is just virtue signalling and LARPing rn.  They will shoot the messenger rather than addressing the issue.  Irony is that they dont even gain any pump from this, just much of the nostr community are in the hands of chainanalysis type guys now.  None of the startups actually gained anything.
