I would say it is a balance that needs to be struck, but in any extreme scenario, it may be impossible to source certain items no matter how much purchasing power someone has. In which case, extra ammo could come in handy.

I tend to keep about a 24 month supply on hand. Levels will fluctuate but being able to have a decent buffer enables buying things in bulk when they are on sale which is a major life hack
And extra ammo is always a great resource 😁
I wish we had access to guns and ammo here. We're just sitting ducks over in Europe.

3D printing firearms for self defense is easy nowadays but ammunition is tricky. A great reason for those who are able to stock up
I've considered it, but yeah... ammo is a problem and no doubt I would be placed on yet another watchlist.
