Have you ever been scared by a videogame? I think maybe Alien Isolation but maybe that was more anxiety and jump scares? 🤔 #horror #games #gaming #videogames #vidya
The original Dead Space and Amnesia were awesome.
Amnesia was great! Never played Dead Space, though.
I think I have Amnesia on the free epic library. Should maybe play one of those games some day lol Also.. The Evil Within is currently free, just in case other people download free epic games and never play them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #gaming #videogames
Subnautica would def be one of them. Even better if you have thalassophobia 🤣🤣
Let me Google that tho
Dont worry, I had to also 🤣
resident evil biohazard vr wasn't bad 👻
I wonder if it has to be VR to be scary? 🤔
Resident evil and silent hill were both scary when I was a kid but I think it would look silly today.
Yeah it is a weird phenomenon that, does the ability to scare get adjusted with what you expect from the most current 'realistic' graphics. Having said that people apparently find Darkwood scary, and that's a top down, retro-ish game.
For a moment I've read "Dinkwood" (as in Dink Smallwood) and was thoroughly confused. Anyway, for anything to be scary one needs to be engrossed(?), to lose oneself in the fake world. It happens less the the older one gets, when one is jaded, a cynical bored old bastard is only scared by the horror shitshow that is reality.
Yes. Space Hulk on the Amiga was a scary experience. Same with Knightmare.
This looks great https://image.nostr.build/90b650e5f78e80a24e90ab6831cc125aa1d7e74cd2a91e2d8fe6355920a88cb0.jpg
It was! Simple by todays standards, but hooboy the atmosphere really had you on edge.
Here's one of the music tracks, gives you the vibe... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpGjkj0hlf4
