 How would you define yourself:
selfish or generous?
ā–² ā–¼
I am beyond definition because "I" do not exist.

 Interesting response.
However, how do others define you?
ā–² ā–¼
I am not concerned with how others define me.
So you are beyond the self and don't care what others think of you. That also defines you. Are you aware of that?

Your question is black or white. That is not the nature of existence. Are you aware of that? :)
Yes I am aware of that, otherwise I would have put more choice :)

 Then you have my answer.
I already understood it from the first comment šŸ«‚

the ā€œiā€ you seek to define i feel no inclination to defend.
for ā€œiā€ am undefinable,
and if you place definitions on me it is no longer me you are defining.

I am described as both. At times I am generous... Other times very selfish. As a homeless waif for 3 years I discovered that generous only swings one way. From me to you! When you do that you soon find out that you have nothing more to give and run your tank on fumes. This discovery changed me. Everyone is willing to receive and very little is willing to give. So be careful of the position you place yourself when you give!

I do exist... But im the author. The definer. Ill decide.

An individual trying to balance both.

 Both.

Selfish and generous are two different concepts, so one need not be one or the other.

The opposite of selfish is selfless, not generous. This isn't just about being picky with words. There are important philosophical differences that can have a huge impact on one's life.
 It depends

 Selfish. For better and worse.
 Reasoned selfish
