PulseAudio was a sh-tshow for YEARS, Linus should've taken a harder line.

That said, generally I agree with your point, and I greatly value stability and performance over feature-creep, but I'm not the user talking to the devs unless they've broken something. 

The user listened to is the one that wants a floating birthday cake overlay on her birthday, and she doesn't care what the devs have to break in order to give it to her!
