The primary example of libertarian values at work is the United States not fully ratifying the human rights movement around healthcare, Housing as a human right, Education as a human right, And freedom of movement as a human right like it has been in Europe. Call me a socialist but this was done in the name of corporate profits. The difference between the United States and a developing country is that in times of economic turmoil, The unhoused can go out and risk their remaining human rights to steal resources, But in undeveloped countries they would otherwise die because of a lack of resources. I personally don’t think bitcoin is libertarian, I think it is individualism. I have bitcoin, It helps the network collectively, But it also preserves my private ownership right. Anarchism is also not a correct description of bitcoin market operation, Because use implies ownership, And when you do not use something ownership transfers to the collective. In bitcoin I have a private ownership of a collectively owned asset and it’s value increase directly benefits only me against a failing and unending government. You can give bitcoin to poorer people but at that point you cease to own it. You can use your bitcoin to organize groups but at that point you have dedicated your bitcoin to a political agenda. Bitcoin is for the individual.
There is no such thing as the right to another’s labour. And by the way, if your definition of libertarianism is the current US situation… that’s enough to assess the depth of your analysis. The primary example of libertarian values at the work is the spontaneous order of the market and any peaceful voluntary interaction between humans. Any contract. How’s bitcoin not libertarian then?
The whole premise of bitcoin is you need no contract or bank account to use it. Libertarians just like bitcoin because it is more profitable than a government backed currency and they can just nod along and look politically justified. If you were poor you would be pretty inhumane pretty fast.
 This is beyond ridiculous, honestly.
Go try being homeless. Or even better go move to a foreign country without a bank account and tell me about how much you believe in Libertarianism.
Will do, thanks. Let me know when Europe fixes homelessness.
Have you been to Denmark? They seem to have addressed this problem pretty well.
Kudos to Denmark, I’m glad they solved everything and I sincerely hope no greedy libertarian capitalist pig and others of my ilk ever set foot there and ruin it. In fact I hope the whole of Europe turns into the new Soviet Union (which is well on its way) and that you enjoy all the fashionable rights of the day. More State guys, this guy has solved it!
Yeah I don’t think you understand my point, And Denmark is the oldest royal family line in Europe, About the last place that wants to be like the Soviet Union. China just has more gold in Swiss Banks than Western Capitalists. Good luck with your political agenda.
If your point is that libertarians only care about profit point well-taken. Nothing further to discuss.
