I hired a 24 year old in 2021.  He was very clear that while he rented his own apartment he was still on his parents health insurance and didn't know when to pay rent if his mom didn't text him... 
 @357cdba8 Number one of why is that GenZ is raised infantilized and hence wouldn't do what generations and generations before have written about in literature and philosophy - get on their own and "enter the forest at the darkest place". In practical terms, they won't go to Dacota, Lubbock, Alaska, offshore drilling rig or at least for their generation up to electricity generating windmills. My younger cousin is working on those and raising family in full American dream on a single income
