option 3: Net best for miners. What we have now. Admittedly they do make sure that tampering with the record is basically impossible after about 3 blocks, I can't even imagine someone being able to pull off a reorg at 6 blocks with the sheer kilowatts required let alone the special computing hardware. Layer 2s are not optional anymore. A layer 2 that does payjoins and is hooked up to most wallets would solve the fee problem just like that.

No I mean I think the correct answer is both. But I guess most bitcoiners think bitcoin is what is for the greatest good. I think both are correct, But the immediate benefit can be felt personally in society. So many people just don’t get it, And always knowing you have money available to you that only you control is a very reassuring feeling. The benefits for everyone will be felt when that 37 sats becomes generational wealth.
