StatechainJS: Like Ecash but If Operator Goes Down You Can Recover Your Sats "Unlike ecash mints, which have full custody of your money, the only way a statechain operator can rob you is through a doublespend – they can help someone "take back" money that they sent you. But if some authority figure demanded that a statechain operator confiscate coins from folks who don't kyc, they cannot help with that except if they first prepared a doublespend attack on every user," said Super Testnet. https://www.nobsbitcoin.com/statechainjs-demo/
Very very very fascinating. Still have to understand if there's a use case for these tokens other than being used as privacy tools in a coinjoin-like manner. In a world with goods and services priced in sats, that's a fantastic tool...the servers managing the statechains could also host something like ecash mints to provide change and token splitting services too.
