ok #asknostr why do some people back into parking spaces?
what is the purpose? isnt it way harder? & also it is inconsiderate of others
2. what is up with the sunglasses people not someone wearing sunglasses on a sunny day i mean like aggressively wearing sunglasses as part of their identity like in their fb profile photo
cos they dont look tough they look obsessed with hugo weaving & how when his eyebrows do too much
is it just their way of signaling they are pro- black & white american flag with a blue line
cos again a little much
Purpose: It's a safer way to park by making your exit from the spot not a backing up into an area that's tough to see. Also imagine a situation where a large number of people needed to leave in a hurry and everyone had to back up to get out. That would be one hell of a cluster f**k. Backing into a space is easier than backing out of a space as you've already cleared the area of travel before you start backing. How is it inconsiderate?
it isnt tough in a 4doorsedan why 😭 would a large number of people need to leave in a hurry 😭 after you cleared the area in the time it takes to back into it a squirrel could be there. it is inconsiderate to everyone who 1. has to watch 2. is blocked & has to wait for this maneuver 3. suddenly gets headlights in their face let me put it this way when people generally hang clothes in their closet they arrange the hangers to all go one way. that is simply how people do it. if suddenly someone else strolls in, hangs a shirt flipped backwards so the hook part of the hanger is facing out. mom would be like: 🙄 thoughtless typical teenager & rehang the shirt the right way with all the others.
I find it less considerate to wait for poor drivers to slowly back out of a spot while everyone waits. But that still does bother me either because I don't get to wound up over stuff like this. --sathoarder, Back-in Maximalist
Because when we get back in the car and turn it on we ready to go in Drive hahaha and the car looks more sexy hahahaha
sounds self obsessed & materialistic but thanks for the honesty
Proud of what you own. Not materialistic at all.. but ya some are.
Reduces risk of a collision with another car or pedestrian, you have a better vantage point sense of the people, kids in the surrounding driving into the lot vs after you get settles into your car then back up with other cars blocking your view. It is the norm in Japan, taught at a young age. Also people trend to drive faster pulling forward into a spot. My daughter almost got hit picking her up from daycare. Someone peel into the spot beside our SUV cuz they couldn't see her.

Low time preference, get the hard part of parking out of the way first.
what does low time preference mean if you dont mind saying it another way?
Doing the hard things that may not show immediate success but long term it will :)
