Flip the script on them and say something like, "It sounds like you've explained what you  don't like about them, now tell me something you admire about them or like about them." 

I am a fan of trying to help them change the way they view others. That said, if they prove to me they can't start looking for and finding the goodness in others, I'm wishing them well and moving on.
