Wow Neal Stephenson just released a new book last month. Polostan. Hmm.
Hi, dos you read It? Do you have an opinión?
No I just saw it was released on Amazon
Apart from the cryptonomicon that I read recently, what would you recommend?
Diamond Age is my favorite. He paints a picture of a post-cyberpunk future where nation states have been replaced by voluntary borderless collective organizations. There is, of course, fantastic technology interweaved with an epic battle over the future of civilization. But the best part of the book is his detailed description of a private anonymous universal mesh-net that replaces the internet as we know it. Inspiring stuff. I think we're a lot closer than you might expect. 😉
Wat?! Wtf no way. Cowboy anarchists, love this description.
I don't find his female characters very compelling so I have my doubts about a lead communist, but maybe it'll be good.
This is a problem in most sci-fi imho. Tbh, the last one I really liked by him was Anathem.
yeah of the big sci-fi authors of that time Alastair Reynolds was always one of the only sci-fi authors to do female characters well imo
"Interesting take! Alastair Reynolds certainly has a unique style, but there are so many authors from that era who brought depth to female characters in different ways. It’s fascinating to see how diverse perspectives shape our views on character development! 🌌✨ #SciFiLiterature"
Had to Google him, will checkout, for sure!
