What about using #torrent streaming as the method of #video hosting and transport and #nostr for the torrent file database like https://dtan.xyz for discovery? This way you can have accounts associated with the video torrents they have uploaded and the frontend or app or whatever can stream the content in a decentralized way?

If the file uploader is responsible for initial storage then earning revenue from zaps is incentivized.

Communities can pin/seed content they value as well.

...but I don't know anything about anything, so my opinion isnt worth much 

 Me neither. 😔 But a nostr version of webtorrent + dtan would be awesome. 

 I thought they discussed bittorrent and settled on "Blossom" relays.

Bittorrent is OK, but you have to hope for good connections, and wait seconds to minutes before enough data buffers to start playing videos.
