The last few years have shown us that most people just listen to what the media tells them and don't question it. If the media isn't making a big deal out of Republicans trying to overthrow the government and install criminal Nazi rule then it must not be a big deal.

People can't seem to figure out that the media is in on it. 

In general I'm surprised at how many people can't see things happening, only what has already happened. 

 @d0154568 I agree, but suspect for many people, social media have supplanted traditional media as purveyors of “information,” and this is a huge problem.
