Did you try typing a location manually? For instance Accra, Ghana. 

 I have location permissions turned off for the app and type in locations manually. Middle icon in the upper right corner of the app.  

 Thanks both, I figured out its the loupe button for searching a location. Was expecting a plus button or similar, most apps work that way.
