If I can't afford $20 then I just can't afford it. It's as simple as that. >TFW this :dominos: pizza could be yours for 4 easy payments of only $5.25 Is that not the most dystopian shit? If they can normalise people taking out loans for groceries then they can create a serf class. Credit cards were only the start! When you think about it credit cards are fucking stupid. 99.99% of the time it's just you taking out an unnecessary loan to pay for something because you don't want to spend the money right then only to pay the loan off in full at the end of the month when it's time to make the first payment. The only reason credit cards were credit was because debit cards weren't a thing because credit cards weren't a thing yet. If both credit and debit cards had been introduced at the same time then I can assure you that credit cards wouldn't have caught on the way they did because the concept itself is stupid in comparison. I wonder if anyone has done it. I might do it just to see what the process is like. What I wonder is how do they make money with zero interest loans? There's got to be a catch, right? That business model alone isn't sustainable. @Electric Pants :prince_dance: i want pizaz now
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: Dumb boomer cunts ruined our society because the men of the house didn't know how to lay the pimp hand down on a bitch who was bankrupting the family in secret.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: Credit cards are the ultimate jewish trick, it's true.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: They make money by the merchant eating transaction fees. Same as every other option other than isn't cash in hand.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: I mean it's already got everything set in place. You already get punished for not having a credit card by having a shitty credit score, which makes taking out actual loans when you need it a painful experience.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: "If I can't afford $20 then I just can't afford it." Words to live by. If you dont have the money now, who's to say you'll have anything in a year? Friend's gf bought him a PS5 and is still paying the 24 installments. The only monthly bill I will ever accept is utility, and just maybe taxes, but it's always preferable to pay upfront. Not even a car, that's something you save up for ahead of time. __remilia_scarlet_izayoi_sakuya_and_hong_meiling_touhou_drawn_by_yaise__9bef72cf06f553e05b43558068f7c2ef.png https://bae.st/media/1cd7b75c80484e389d31050f380386aba4f676859e2e717fe253bf00a4a667d3.png?name=__remilia_scarlet_izayoi_sakuya_and_hong_meiling_touhou_drawn_by_yaise__9bef72cf06f553e05b43558068f7c2ef.png
if you use credit cards responsibly it’s very sustainable. if you treat them as debit cards and don’t buy things beyond your bank account, then the cash back is free money that they just give you for paying your balance. ofc most people don’t do this.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: King cobra lives on this shit. Literally overdrawn buy hundreds of dollars constantly. Can't ship out his Etsy store shit because he's always negative. Just waits till he sells more or increases the price to get him out of the negative and ship out the first order. Lives off of idiots sending him super chats and "wand" sales. Living the dream really, for a burnout retard.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: Sezzle makes money primarily by charging the merchant 2-3x what a credit card fee would in processing fees (6%). A little bit more if you don't pay on time because it becomes a high interest loan. For a high margin business like pizza it's more profitable to make several percent less on a sale than to not make the sale at all. Businesses don't set up their own microloans because it's actually a lot of work at small scale and it's better for PR not to have some someone's grandma crying on TV because the Domino's delivery guy is repoing her house.
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: >they can create a serf class You guys already became a serf class the moment you normalized credit cards. It's time to switch to debit cards.
I actually never wanted a credit card, I only ever used debit for a long time but I had to get a credit card to get a good credit score so I could geta better interest rate on my condo mortgage
Who could be behind this :hands:
