My daughter, a champion formula car driver, is almost 17 and still doesn’t have her Texas driver license. 

TODAY WAS THE DAY!

We waited months, then went in for the test.

When we went, the lady said everything is in order. Except this required video that you watched…it has to be watched within 3 months of your appointment. Sorry. 

The appointments have to be made further than 3 months in advance at that point!!!

So we made another appt and waited and now this.

 My kids just gave up. Certain amount of time you have to do driving school and 30 hours of online training just to get your permit. Then you have to drive almost 100 miles in different conditions before you can get your license. Or if you wait until you're 18 you can just take a driving test and get it. It's all just a cash grab and the state's way of prolonging your life's first form of independence.
