Looking at foods and determining which is better based on GI only is retarded.

Your insulin doesn't react to one food at a time, it responds the whole glob all mixed together.

Example: if you eat chicken and rice and veggies together, it doesn't really matter if you used brown or white rice. The chicken and veggies mixed it negates the small difference in GI - your insulin response will basically be the same.

So just eat whatever rice or carb you like best as a side
To a type 2 diabetic or pre diabetic it hits different.

No it doesn't, when mixed with other foods. This is Only true if you ONLY eat rice by itself
I’ve just got a cgm will test on me
Just eat fatty red meat 🥩😉
Or at least low carb -

Beyond that, blood sugar spikes and insulin responses are NORMAL. The current obsession with them is the sickness. The only time blood sugar matters is when it doesn't come down rapidly, meaning you have become hyperglycemic or diabetic... and the cause of that is NOT blood sugar, but pancreatic/liver dysfunction generally caused by excessive fat.

That isn't to say that keeping blood sugar artificially low all-the-damn-time doesn't have benefits, like cancer starvation or weight control. It might. I don't know.
