In my adventures in transit to Riga I’m stopping over in a bunch of cities. Some people dread layovers but I try and make them long enough to go out and do things. 

I stopped off at the Moco Museum and had lunch in Barcelona.

 Saw a vegan place in Riga with a cute name.

 What's the minimum time you need for an enjoyable layover? 

 Enough time to leave the airport, go some place interesting, get back, and through security without missing my flight. Usually 4 or 5 hours is the minimum to do it safely.
