The population of bank voles in our garden seems to have exploded. They’re getting fat on the seeds that birds drop from the feeder (I also suspect that they’re the reason the flowers have disappeared from some bulbs I’d planted). No doubt a sparrow hawk or the grass snake we’ve seen will disappear a few voles.

 those sunflower pinwheels people stick in the ground aren't just decorative, their vibrations repel mice, voles & moles. I lined up several in a semi circle and moved them everyday further out away from my house across the lawn and literally drove moles off my lawn. very effective.
