depends on the nostr application / website you use but long form article notes have, i guess, more optiont for markdown and changing layout and such - it also offers a more focussed way for writing than just posting a note through the normal "social media-like" nostr apps

 Kind 1 versus Kind 3023. Most clients don't allow markdown formatting for kind 1. Kind 3023 content is normally shown with markdown formatting. Kind 1 is generally referred to as a note. Kind 3023 is generally referred to as blog posts, articles, or long formatted content. 

 I’ve been using Damus for most of my time on nostr. Loaded up Nostur and saw it differentiates which is cool. Will have to do some studying.
