 @be314b31 NPR lost credibility when it pumped up Dr. Wen saying masks were stupid right before a huge wave of COVID killed a few hundred thousand people in 2021. I was sitting in a liquor store parking lot when they ran the story, having just finished a shift caring for very ill COVID patients. It was infuriating.

Thank you for saying that! I've mentioned multiple times that I had multiple family members decide *that* was the moment to ditch all precautions, because NPR wouldn't lie to them. One died from that advice.
