I saw a housing for seedsighner, which is lower in height than your housings. How is this possible? Maybe there are other components inside?  

 Shorter gpio Pins are the secret ingredient. It's possible but also quite a bit more work and not as easy to build as mine. 

 Could you discuss this on your YouTube channel? It's interesting to understand how to assemble such a model from start to finish.
