I have a question or two. Once the clients/bitcoin companies that are able to find their balance by themselves without the help of OpenSats or any outside funding source, don't you think OpenSats will eventually go under or get less funded because the whole purpose is to find grounding, not greed? Isn't that the overall goal? Once Bitcoin is stabilized, everyone will move on to the next project? To me it looks like what has been traditionally done, but with this, this is something that could eventually need to restrategize. It's not a forever funding? I am kind of confused by we want to build bitcoin businesses but then we don't want these people to start it with their money, do you have ideas to share? I am asking because I am super confused.
Non-profit organizations will always exist because there will always be people who need to ask for money when they can't create profitable products. However, the situation with Bitcoin Core is different and makes sense! Donations are essential because maintaining and reviewing the protocol isn't a profitable endeavor, yet it's crucial for the network's security.
Is Bitcoin Core a project that is not being funded?
Most of core devs are funded and that is great!
But you are upset how they are being funded?
Me upset how devs are being funded ? You kidding me? Find the note
I am so lost.
Don’t accuse me of something I didn’t say 😁 My point was that there is none profit organization that has a conflict of interest and Odell doesn’t give to much fucks about the devs and cares about NGU
I didn't accuse you of anything. I'm trying to see what is going on. I am seeing bits and pieces.
Yeah Odell lovers are trying to tweak my statement but that’s okay
Ok, I think I get what you are saying....you have the For Profit that has a portfolio that is similar to Non Profit portfolio? Right?
None profit doesn’t have portfolio😁 They decide to whom and what project to give the money they received from donors!
So its because ODELL is doing both? How is it a conflict of interest?
You invest in coinkite and you reject the grant to Seedsinger and same applies for other conflicted projects! Does it make any sense ?
That is the first answer you gave. Now it makes sense.
Haven't they funded multiple projects that would be in competition with the profit company? Like different clients, wallets, apps? So why is Seedsinger the focus of this argument?
Because their board is compromised and have a conflict of interests! If they deeply care about it then restructure it! I’m not going to make a research for you connecting the dots together in what they invested and in what not!
okie dokie, thanks for the information you did provide
