@970ab77f I doubt that's really the reason that Canada is so fucked, but I understand the sentiment regarding priorities and performative bullshit vs. focusing on things that actually matter to improve the lives and opportunities of citizens. As bad as America is, Canada just consistently seems so much worse. Which, is bizarre, considering how progressive neoliberals here will extol Canada as somehow something to aspire towards.
