A few helpful nostr tips:
- Follow many people for a lively feed
- Re-post notes you like. Don’t just like and scroll by. We don’t have algos other than popular notes, you are the algo.
- We’re not big on follower counts, some clients won’t even show it by default. Post for people, not for growing followers
- Saving profile info can be buggy and seem like its not updating, but it probably is. Just give it time.
- Use #asknostr often to ask your questions, we all started like you, with many questions.

Ya you will see all the latest notes. Many have asked for a feed where you see each person’s last note because people like me can flood the feed 😆
Would be cool to develop some custom algorithms with clear descriptions so everyone can choose the feed style they like.
Yes it’s been discussed quite a bit and we have something called DVMs - data vending machines where you basically pay a tiny fee and get a custom feed based on your preferences. I can’t recall where but I think this can be used already if I’m not mistaken. If not, then soon probably

I really like the part about the followers… I was just talking to someone today and we came to the conclusion that we don’t want people who “follow” but rather people who we can walk side by side with…
Thanks! Yep, the saving profile updates can be worrying. Especially in between different clients this can be very buggy and offen times doesn't synch at all. But good to hear this is a common issue ... and as so often ... be patient young padawan 🙏
