 Actually it is a great film lol one of my favorites. 

 It's okay to have different preferences. There are many films I find them great but some people thinks they suck. LOL 

 This isn’t a preference thing. Armageddon is a legitimately great movie. They even added it to the criterion collection. Its film grammer and kinetic camera movement set the stage for all modern movies following it. 

 Armageddon was great. So was Independence Day

 Love it. Another awesome scene in a similar vein is Independence Day when the missile doesn’t launch and the Dad flys into the bottom of the spaceship.
